Dolphin Cleat - 10" & 12"

Beautiful, structural & functional, these Dolphin cleats are designed by Don Green of the Capt. Don Boom Brake fame. They are made of 316L Stainless Steel and polished to a mirror finish.
The10” cleat is a hefty 3.25 lb and the12“ weighs in at   5 lb 4 oz.  Only 250 of each made have been crafted. These are art and it is unlikely that they will be made again.

These will make you the envy of the docks.  In addition to the beauty of the design, they also feature a cavity for the installation of LED lights (available on Ebay) to safely light up your deck at night and yet they are strong enough to safely secure your boat in any weather.  

You can also use them as  gorgeous cabinet or door handles at your beach side home or just a lovely decorative addition to your desk or bookshelf.

With both the 10" and the 12" cleats we also offer white fiberglass deck plates.  These deck plates are CNC cut 1/4” fiberglass that reduce leaks and cover up any existing cleat holes and provide a template for hole drilling. You can attach them to the deck with thickened epoxy or other adhesive. The bolt holes do not go through the plates so the adhesive will not penetrate the guide holes. They are pre-drilled for correct alignment for the new cleats. Cost is $15.00 each.

For the 12" cleat we also offer custom made 4 x 316L stainless Steel 3/8"-16 and 3" long bolts, washers and lock nuts for $18 for four sets.

The 10” deck plates have 1/4” guide holes for drilling after attaching to the deck.
10” has a 4" x 2" Bolt pattern, recommend 316L, 5/16"-18 bolts with an Oval Phillips head.
After through drilling with a 1/4” drill, tap them for 5/16”-18 bolts.

The 12” deck plates have 5/16” guide holes for drilling after attaching to the deck.
12“ has a 4.75” x 2.75“ Bolt pattern
After through drilling with a 5/16” drill, tap them for 3/8”-16 bolts.

Tapping threads through the deck holes is important to eliminate any leaks around the bolts.
